First of all, it is important to keep in mind that to access the Family Allowance for Marriage, both you and your partner must be legal residents in Argentina and be officially married.

This benefit is not granted to couples who only live together in a free union or who do not have the civil status of marriage.

Additionally, both you and your partner must meet the income requirements established by the government to access this benefit.

If the family income exceeds the established limit, they will not be able to receive the allowance.

It is important to keep in mind that if one of the spouses has already received the Universal Child Allowance or the Family Allowance for Maternity, he or she will not be able to access this additional benefit due to marriage. 

The law establishes that only one of these allowances can be received for each child or special case, so it is necessary to take these situations into account when requesting the allowance.

What is the value?

The amount is paid in a single installment. For IGF it costs $1,012,460, the value is $29,835, regardless of the area.

  • ID of both.
  • Marriage certificate or record

Who has the right?

  • Registered workers (SUAF).
  • Unemployment Benefit Recipients.
  • Holders of benefits from an Occupational Risk Insurance Company.
  • Seasonal workers.
  • Holders of the Honorary Pension for Veterans of the South Atlantic War.

Requirements to access the Family Allowance for Marriage

  • To receive the benefit through ANSES, the marriage must be registered in the agency's database.
  • The application must be made between 2 months and 2 years after the insured's marriage.
  • Individual and household income must not exceed the maximum limits in effect at the time of the ceremony.

For workers with a formal contract, they must have at least 6 months of continuous employment at the date of marriage.

How to access the Family Allowance for Marriage in Argentina?

If you meet the above requirements, to apply for the Family Allowance for Marriage you must complete the corresponding form and submit it to the ANSES (National Social Security Administration) office closest to your home. 

The appointment can be requested on the ANSES portal or at the New Virtual Care System.
