The Pension for the Welfare of Persons with Permanent Disabilities is a social benefit of the Government of Mexico.

Who has the right?

To be eligible for the Welfare Pension for Persons with Permanent Disabilities, you must first have some type of proven permanent illness.

In addition, it is important that the applicant belongs to one of the following groups:

  • Children and young people from 0 to 29 years old;
  • Adults aged 30 to 64 from indigenous or Afro-Mexican regions;
  • Person with a high degree of marginalization due to social and economic criteria.

What are the amounts paid?

The amounts of the pensions for the Welfare of Persons with Permanent Disabilities are deposited bi-monthly, which means that a benefit is paid every two months.

The value corresponds to 2,950 pesos bi-monthly and may be paid in cash or deposit, depending on the method previously determined by the beneficiary.

In addition to meeting the requirements, it is important to obtain a document that certifies the status of permanent disability.

Once done, simply open the application process with the Tax Agency. Remember that you must bring documentation:

  • Official birth certificate;
  • Official identification document;
  • Certificate proving permanent disability;
  • Contact phone number;
  • Proof of address;
  • Updated CURP.

If the person is unable to open the application themselves, a close relative may do so, but the degree of familiarity must be demonstrated.

After application and approval, the benefit will begin to be paid within 2 months.
