This is possible thanks to the program The School is Ours, an initiative of the Government of Mexico, which aims to offer better opportunities to students and professionals in public schools.
The idea behind this initiative is to provide financial resources based on the number of students in the school.
In addition, a School Committee is formed, responsible for allocating resources for purposes necessary for the day-to-day running of the educational institution.
How much does La Escuela es Nuestra receive?
Schools participating in the program The School is Ours receive the release of financial resources, stipulated by the following criteria:
- Group I: 2 to 50 students: 200,000 pesos;
- Group II: 51 to 150 students: 250,000 pesos;
- Group III: more than 151 students: 600,000 pesos.
The group is defined according to the number of registered enrollments at the time of the school's inclusion in the program.

How to participate in the program?
There are two main ways to participate in the program: by invitation and by registration.
In the event of a call for applications, the school will receive contact from the program in order to inform about the inclusion procedure and other steps.
To register, you must wait for the inclusion period and send the details of the school you wish to apply for.
How to identify participating schools?
If you have any questions about your school's inclusion, it is worth mentioning that checking the participating schools is very simple.
To do this, look at the step by step:
- Access the main page of the program;
- Then, scroll down to the topic “LEEN Beneficiary School Locator”;
- Include the name of the school and check what color appears.
If the color green appears, it means that the school has been a beneficiary of the program for 2 years or more;
If the color yellow appears, the school is a beneficiary of the program for 1 year;
Finally, if the color red appears, the school is likely to become a beneficiary, but is not yet included in the program.
